My heart stopped for 25 seconds, ( I was told only three people in medical journals have the heart that have, long story which I'll write about later, in detail.) After 10 days at Lenox Hill hospital, I'm back. And
Better than ever.
The staff was simply wonderful.
I'm grateful.
I suffered a massive stroke on Sept 23rd, 2019. ‘ I woke up dead!’. I Could not walk, see or talk. After 2 weeks in Lenox Hill hospital, and 2 weeks at Phelps rehabilitation hospital, JaRon was release home and is making a slow but full recovery. Thanks to all who contributed to the (GO FUND ME) page. Deeply appreciated. UPDATE... After a year in recovery, the Doctors felt I was strong enough for the hole in my heart to be closed. In September 2020 Dr. Kliger at Lenox Hill closed the hole by laser surgery, and I’m feeling 100%. (Just moving a little slower) Looking forward to seeing all of you again at Parlor Jazz. A singular New York Experience! RSVP only.

My best friend 'Cookie' my mother passed away on November 14th, 2011. She suffered a massive stroke. She was 88. I got home in time to spend the last week with her and tell her how much I loved her and that she was the best mother in the world. I'd sing to her and I read to her from my book. She was unable to speak. I told her it’s OK to let go. She did. She managed to say 'I love you too'. Nothing will ever mean more to me than that time with my mother. My father died in 1990. Now they are back together. For that, I'm deeply grateful.
